Brian Murray is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) providing professional counseling services in Winter Park and Orlando Florida.

Brian has been involved with counseling, leadership and church ministry for over 20 years. Through his experiences, he has learned that when a person experiences freedom and healthy bondidng in relationships then they are free to love themselves and life.

Brian is a U.S Army Veteran having served in the Infantry. His time in service allowed him to witness the falling of the Berlin Wall and the liberation of Kuwait. After his service, he spent the next 15 years in a corporate career. It was during this time he pursued his Master's degree in counseling answering the call to serve those who struggle in life.

As a counselor, Brian's journey has led him the opportunity to work in areas such as community funded agencies, addiction recovery facilities, counseling at state prisons, various church settings and working in private practice. After 2 years of owning his own practice in Longwood FL he joined his current position with The LifeWorks Group located in Winter Park.

Brian's approach in counseling is to work alongside of his clients. He has been described as being approachable and easy to talk to. This method helps clients gain insight into their struggles and learn coping strategies leading to resolve. He is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a rapid eye movement technique used to help relieve psychological trauma images and their associated emotions. He is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which is used to help people manage very strong emotions as often found in Borderline Personality Disorder.

Brian holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. He is married to his wife Lisa for the past 16 years and has one daughter and 2 stepsons. His hobbies include spending time in God's great outdoors fishing, kayaking and camping.
